An American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Amateur Radio Emergency Communication Course (ARECC) certificate of completion exam will be offered at Universal Radio on March 20, 2010. The self study track for a course completion certificate is obtained through an exam given at the conclusion of self study or instruction. A certificate is awarded to students who successfully passes with a course completion certificate. This certificate provides local Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) and Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) clubs who are involved in local community emergency response with an indication of a student’s interest and understanding of the emergency communications environment and assures a common foundation of training. The exam fee for 2010 is the ARRL $15.00 cost for administering the exam and issuing certificates.
