The Heil PR40 Proline Broadcast Mic features the new technology of the Heil DM 6 dynamic element with response down to 28 Hz. and stays perfectly flat up through 18kHz. with a beautiful mid range rise giving this new microphone gorgeous vocal articulation. In many blind A/B tests in a Burbank rehearsal hall, the Heil lab, and several major studios around the U.S., this revolutionary Heil dynamic microphone exhibits amazingly clear, clean, natural sound that equals and surpasses many of the cheap condenser models that have recently flooded the U.S. market. The Heil PR40 uses a very unique copper wound voice coil with a neodymium magnet structure which creates a magnetic field ten times stronger than the traditional magnets of other microphones. Coupling to a low mass quilted aluminum diaphragm exhibits the tremendous low frequency response and low distortion throughout it's wide frequency range.

The dynamic Heil PR40 looks like, feels like and acts like a condenser in every respect. No more phantom power. No more background noise and you now have the absolute quietest microphone - ever. It truly outperforms the old industry standards costing 5 to 6 times more. The PR40 will be shipped in an aluminum carry case, with the SM3 5/8" -27 mount assembly.

NOTE:
This mic was designed principally for studio and broadcast use. It may also be used for traditional amateur radio applications with the addition of the appropriate XLR cable and HS 2 handswitch or the FS 2 footswitch.
